Harmony in the Home

I’m sure you’ll find a Video or Blog detailing how this Eclipse can show up in your life. As a holistic enthusiasts, I’m here to say no matter what happens in this world peace starts within us. We can choose to be amongst the madness or shut the door and create peace within our homes. To emphasize the idea of creating peace in the home, lets take a look at the sign of Libra and Feng Shui.
Libra’s is the zodiac sign that desire harmony and balance in life. Libra ruled signs are associated with the Scales that represents Justice, Balance and Equality. There is no better place for a Libra to create balance and harmony than in the home. Let’s briefly recap, the history of Feng Shui.
The History of Feng Shui
The orgins of Feng Shui traces all the way back to (4000~3000 BCE.) The Chinese civilizations, particularly the Yangshao and Longshan cultures showed evidence of being tuned in with nature. They used natural elements from their environment to create balance in their lives.
Philosophers like Confucius started to spread the principles of Feng Shui to his students. He emphasized the importance of harmony between individuals and harmony. Texts such as the “I Ching” gifted online for free by www.mocagh.org. (Book of Changes) laid the groundwork for Feng Shui concepts, particularly the idea of Yin and Yang.
Feng Shui Schools started to populate all over Chinese civilizations. Around (221 BCE – 220 CE) The Qin and Han Dynasties created more structured Feng Shui practices. “Guang Yu Tu,” began to emerge. The idea of Qi began balancing the five elements (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water) became central to Feng Shui. For example, the combination of a wooden table (wood element) with a glass vase (water element) and a vibrant red accent (fire element) can create a visually captivating and harmonious space.
In the late 19 century~Early 20th century, traditional practices were questioned by new up and coming generations. Many ancient texts were reinterpreted and adapted to fit the changing times. This lead to a more modern version of Feng Shui that evolved. The core principles of Feng Shui is to create balance and harmony between individuals and their surroundings.

* Clutter-Free Living~Feng Shui puts a strong emphasis on simplicity and clutter-free living. Everything is made of energy. Decluttering your living spaces allows you to create an environment where energy can flow freely. Free flowing energy creates a sense of inner peace. In addition a more serene atmosphere.
* Mindful Arrangements~ Feng Shui promotes designing one space with purpose. For example, placing a mirror to reflect natural light or a favorite piece of artwork can enhance the beauty of your home.
* Using all 5 Elements to Decorate~ Elements of Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water can be used to decorate your home and create balance. For example
- Wood-symbolizes new beginnings, expansion, flexibility, resilience, and upward movement. Incorporating real wood in your decor, such as wooden furniture, flooring, or wooden art pieces, can bring the grounding and nourishing energy of the wood element into your living spaces.
- Fire-Fire represents transformation, passion, enthusiasm, boldness, and intensity. Fire is often a focal point in the home. If you have a fire place, its a natural representation of the fire element. If you don’t have a fire place, having art work that has a fiery element to it can substitute.
- Earth-Earth element symbolize stability, nourishment, reliability, grounding, and support. Furniture or decor with square or rectangular shapes can strengthen the earth energy in your home.
- Metal-Metal element symbolize clarity, precision, focus, strength, structure, and efficiency. You can use metal-related colors like white, silver and gold to decorate your home. Sculptures made of stainless steel, aluminum, or brass, can help increase the metal element in your home.
- Water~Water is flexibility, adaptability, purity, abundance, and renewal. Adding water decor such as fountains or aquariums can enhance the water element into your space. The sound of water enhances the flow Qi that produces a sense of calm.
* Organization and Order~An organized and orderly home can promote harmony in relationships, which partnership loving Libras LOVE💕
