Welcome to This Text-Based Astrology Course

This course is intentionally designed as a reading-based learning experience. Each module builds upon the last, allowing you to move slowly, reflect deeply, and return to the material as often as needed. Astrology is a symbolic language, and reading gives the psyche time to absorb nuance, pattern, and meaning.

This is not a memorization-heavy course. Instead, it is a foundational study of planetary consciousness, symbolism, and lived expression.

Because this course serves an international audience, each lesson is presented in written format, allowing you to read at your own pace if reading English feels more comfortable than listening. This makes learning accessible, flexible, and intuitive, no matter where you are on your astrology journey.

Please feel free to take your time moving through each module. You may want to have your own birth chart on hand as we go, so you can make personal connections with what you’re learning.

Module 2: History & Mythology of the Planets
A Brief History of Planetary Astrology The foundations of Western astrology trace back to Mesopotamia, where early astrologers worked primarily with seven visible planets: Sun Moon Mercury Venus Mars Jupiter Saturn Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto were discovered later with advancements in astronomy and were incorporated into astrology as humanity’s consciousness evolved. This historical framework is beautifully summarized in Ancient Astrology in Theory and Practice by Demetra George, which explores how planetary meaning developed through observation, mythology, and lived experience.

Module 3: Greek Planetary Mythology (Foundational Archetypes)
Mythology is not included as background information—it is a primary learning tool. Throughout this course, planetary mythology will be used to deepen understanding, interpretation, and intuitive fluency. Use the mythology sections in the following ways: 1. Read Before Interpretation Before studying a planet’s astrological meanings, read its mythology first. Notice the themes, behaviors, conflicts, and resolutions present in the stories. Astrology becomes more alive when meaning is absorbed symbolically before it is intellectualized. 2. Track Repeating Archetypes Pay attention to patterns such as: Power and authority (Zeus, Cronus) Desire and attraction (Aphrodite) Conflict and assertion (Ares) Transformation and descent (Hades) These archetypes often repeat across cultures and show how planetary energy expresses itself consistently through human experience. 3. Cross-Cultural Comparison After learning the Greek archetype, compare it with: Roman planetary gods Babylonian planetary deities Indian (Jyotish) planetary intelligences Even when names and stories differ, the core planetary function remains recognizable. 4. Personal Chart Reflection Once you learn a planet’s mythology, locate that planet in your own birth chart. Reflect on how the myth mirrors your lived experiences, challenges, or gifts associated with that planet. 5. Journaling & Integration Students are encouraged to keep a mythology journal. Write reflections such as: Where do I see this planetary story playing out in my life? How do I express the higher and lower expressions of this archetype? What lesson is this planet teaching me at this stage of life?

Module 4: Planetary Archetypes, Days, Colors, and Esoteric Meaning
As we deepen our understanding of the planets, we now move beyond basic personality traits and into symbolism, sacred timing, color, and esoteric meaning. Each planet not only rules parts of but it also governs days of the week, carries specific colors, and represents stages of soul development across time.

Closing Notes: Integrating the Living Chart
As you reach the close of this course, remember that astrology is not something you *finish* learning, it is something you *enter into relationship with. You have explored the houses as living fields of experience, the planets as conscious forces shaping awareness, and the signs as expressions of time, season, and soul intention. When studied together, they form a sacred architecture, one that reveals not only events, but meaning, timing, and purpose. Astrology reminds us that life is not random. Each placement reflects a lesson, a gift, and an invitation to grow. As your understanding deepens, your chart becomes less of a map to “figure out” and more of a conversation with the cosmos, one that evolves as you do. Let this knowledge soften judgment, strengthen discernment, and expand compassion for yourself and for others. The more consciously you work with planetary cycles, the more aligned your choices become with your soul’s rhythm. Most importantly, trust your intuition. Ancient systems give structure, but wisdom arises when knowledge meets lived experience. Stay Connected | Continue the Journey Learning is amplified in community.
